Problem
The exterior anodized fascia panels and cladding of our clients 35,000m² high bay distribution centre had become dull, discoloured and stained from years of damaging exposure to the elements and a lack of routine maintenance cleaning. Having exhausted all other possibilities SkyClean was called on to assist in solving the ongoing problem.

Solution
Remotely controlled from the ground, SkyClean firstly prepared the surface with a specialist detergent matched to the type of fascia cladding panels whilst the crane lowered the unit. Once the rotary brushes were in operation the detergent mixed with water creating a non hazardous PH 7 factor solution on the assent, effectively cleaning the surface cladding. The rotation of the brushes was then reversed on the descent giving a thorough, environmentally safe clean to the surface.

Benefits
By utilising SkyClean’s large cleaning capacity the disruption to the facility was kept to absolute minimum. Due to the rapid automated cleaning process allowing up to 3500m² of cladding to be cleaned per day, we were able to offer a remarkable cost reduction compared to the traditional labour intensive cleaning methods, whilst providing an increased quality of clean.
