Ventilation and Extraction
All major insurers, as a prerequisite, require food production outlets to ensure that fire risk assessments are undertaken on a regular basis.
Should your premises encounter fire damage due to a build-up of grease and other flammable products in your extraction, ventilation and ducting systems then the insurer may not validate your claim.
Newlife technicians will deep clean your extraction systems working to standard accepted by all major insurers ensuring peace of mind should you ever experience a fire. Our team will strip back your complete system from extraction hood through to external fans, create permanent access panels for future cleans and replace filters new for old if required.
On completion of works a certificate of compliance is issued conforming to HVCA TR19 (Heating and Ventilation Contractor’s Association) requirements.
HVCA recommendations based on cooking times
- Quarterly Deep Clean 12 – 16 Hours a Day
- Bi Annual Deep Clean 6 – 12 Hours a Day
- Annual Deep Clean 2 – 6 Hours a Day
Poorly maintained and dirty filters directly contribute to the effectiveness of your ventilation and extraction systems. Trapped grease and particles in the mesh can stop any material from entering the ducting.
As part of our specialist catering hygiene division Newlife can carry out one off deep cleans of all canopies and filters. decarbonising and removing dirt deposits, helping to reduce the risk of fire in your ducting systems. Newlife can clean and all types of filters including panel, mesh, baffle, aluminium and stainless steel.
We will also replace new for old if required. Conforming to HVCA TR19 standards all works are undertaken in line with all major insurers’ guidelines.
